Yes, it is. The course is aimed to give a first and professional approach to the diatonic accordion, giving a valuable musical education and instructions both to beginner and intermediate players. Everything is explained in an easy and smart way. Usually, most of students start with the PACK05 – Basic Course Complete (15 lessons + 1 as welcome gift) or PACK01 – New students package.

The course does not ask you to read music, although each lesson contains partiture and music scores to help those who are able to read music. Learning process with the Online Course takes place mainly through clear and detailed HD videos, several moments of listening and many detailed explanations both textual in the web page and spoken in the videos.

Yes, of course. Lot of lessons are suitable for that kind of diatonic accordion (also named du botte). You’ll find not only basic technical lessons, but also many lessons dedicated to songs like waltz, tarantella, saltarello, pizzica. All of these lessons and tunes are playable with 2 or 4 basses accordions. In any case, better contact the Academy to ask suggestions about the lessons choice.

Each Online Course lesson is equivalent to 2 or 3 hours of face to face lesson, related to the student skills and attitudes. 1. A cultural background of the tune or tradition analyzed through the lesson;

2. Detailed step by step instructions about studying and interpretation of the tune;

3. English subtitles for the spoken parts and text translations in the web pages; Italian and French subtitles are available as well.

4. HD Videos for clearly represent hands position and fingering on the keyboard, both for right keyboard and basses and air valve; <

5. Audios, in order to listen to musical parts and interpretations, both in slow and normal speed;

6. Tablature or musical notation of the tune, for those who are able or need to read music;

8. Suggestions for better playing and studying.

You’ll find a 15 lesson package named “Basic Course Complete” and this is the best choice for beginners. There are “basic skills” and “Advanced skills” lessons to build solid skills. The Basic Course contains 131 videos (more than 15 hours of recordings), 46 mp3 files, 70 partitures, 46 midi files and it is organized as follows.

Furthermore, some of the online lessons dedicated to specific tunes from the Tune Repertory are particularly suitable for beginners and they can be added to the Basic Course.

You need just a normal computer with an Internet connection to study with the Online Course. No downloading or software installing is required. The only program you need is a web browser like Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer. You need, of course, a couple of amplified speakers (or just headphones) in order to listen to the multimedia contents.

Don’t worry, all you have to do will be just to enter your Username and Password. That’s it. The Online Course is practical, user friendly and accessible from PC, Mac and even from mobile devices such as iPad and tablets. Just in case, we’ll provide online tutoring assistance on chat or by phone to resolve any technical issues.

Learning a tune through face to face lessons means to spend two or three lessons. With the Online Course you need just one lesson that, after purchasing, you own it for ever. Online Course Prices are clearly shown in the Prices and Payment page. The purchase can be easily made by credit card or PayPal account. Each lesson is equivalent at least to 3 hours of face to face teaching

Just go to the Prices and Payment page and purchase your first lesson package, otherwise you can compose your package selecting the lessons in the Basic Course page and in the Tunes Repertory page. In any moment you are free to contact the Academy asking some suggestion about the better lessons for you. Best choiches for beginners are PACK05 – Basic Course Complete or PACK01 – New students package. With the “new student” packages you will receive a further lesson for free. The student will receive immediately a payment confirmation email containing personal Username and Password to login to the personal account. There you will found all the links to the online lessons purchased. In case you bought a package including a free lesson (PACK01, PACK02, PACK05, PACK06, PACK07, PACK08, PACK09, PACK10) you will be asked to select the lesson you like to have as a bonus

A link beetween student and teacher is always present. Every student can contact the teacher in order to receive suggestions, to report skill improvements, to get advice about further lessons. Students will receive always feedback and valuable indications about how to proceed in the better way along the lessons and overcome any possible difficulty. The Online Course is performed with a two rows accordion, 21 key and 8 basses, that is the most standardized diatonic accordion around the world. Every 21+8 accordion, regardless of his tuning, has the same fingers positions on the keyboard. Furthermore, if you do not have an accordion G/C tuned, all the videos of the Online Course can be instantaneously transposed to the key of your diatonic accordion trough a specific function illustrated in detail in this Guide.

The Online Course is held in Italian. In all the Basic Course Lessons videos, the spoken parts are subtitled in English, French or Italian. Furthermore, in every lesson, you will found the possibility of translating directly the text in more than ten different languages (English, French, Flemish, Norwegian and so on) just with a clic. Sentences are very brief and understandable.
